Petrol to cost Rs 6.28 extra now
Petrol prices hiked by 10 per cent will now cost Rs 6.28 and after taxes goes up to more than Rs 7.50 across the country.
Mumbai – Giving the aam-janta a major setback just after UPA-II three years in office, the government made sharped hike in petrol prices on Wednesday night by 10 per cent, petrol prices will now cost Rs 6.28 and after taxes, which goes up to more than Rs 7.50 across the country. Petrol price in Delhi will now cost Rs 73.14/ litre from previous Rs 65.64 a litre. Petrol price in Hyderabad will be sold at costliest rate of Rs 81/litre.
In Mumbai and Kolkata, prices are at Rs 78.16/litre and Rs 77.53 a litre respectively.
Fuel prices hike was seemed to on the cards in tandem with falling rupee against dollar. Rupee hit the record low of 56 per US dollar on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, facing the irk of political allies and common man, Left front is planning to hold a protest in Delhi.
