New Delhi: Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi finally gave a speech in the Parliament after long sabbatical. The Gandhi scion attacked the Modi government on the land acquisition bill calling it to be an anti-farmer bill.
Rahul said while addressing the parliament, “I have a suggestion. Why doesn’t the PM go and see for himself how much area has been affected? How much area has been affected by unseasonal rain? Are experts right, is the PM right or is the Agricultural Ministry right?”
Gandhi while lambasting the BJP government also added that “The "Acche Din" government has given only an increase of 5%. In our time, agriculture grew. Average increase in credit was 20% each year. The ‘achche din’ government has failed the country”.
The Congress vice-president also alleged that the government's land acquisition bill is anti-farmer and his party has vowed to stall its passage in Parliament.
