London: British police arrested two teenagers from northern England on suspicion of preparing for acts of terrorism. The 14-year-old boy from Blackburn and a 16-year-old girl from Manchester were detained on Thursday and Friday.

The Greater Manchester Police said in a statement that, “The arrest of teenagers is a part of an ongoing investigation and they both have been bailed till May 28”. 

The police also informed that the arrests were not linked to the case of nine British nationals from nearby Rochdale, who were detained by Turkish security forces as it appears that they attempted to enter Syria.
