The bicycles bombs claimed 11 lives and wounded more than 50. All the major cities of the country are put on high alert.
Hyderabad: The Andhra Pradesh capital was rocked by two major blasts in a crowded market-place of Dilsukh Nagar area. Two bombs that were placed on bicycles took 11 lives and injured more than 50 people.
The Union Home Minister Sushilkumar Shinde informed the media that the Home Ministry had the IB alert regarding the suspected terror alert and it had inform the state government. The blasts took place in the evening time when the market is more crowded. The number of casualty may increase as some of the victims are seriously injured.
Manmohan Singh, the Prime Minister of India called it a "dastardly attack". And tweeted, "I appeal to the public to remain calm and maintain peace”.
All major cities including Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata, Bangaluru have been put on high alert. Shinde told the media, “Both blasts took place within a radius of 150 metres in which eight people died at one place, three at the other."
