Imphal: Th Lokeshwar Singh Speaker of Manipur Assembly disqualified Kh Joykishan Singh of Thangmeibandh assembly constituency, Th Bishwajit Singh of Thongju Assembly Constituency and O Kukhoi Singh of Wangoi Assembly Constituency under the Anti-Defection law in the 10th Schedule of the Constitution, the trio belonged to All India Trinamool Congress. 

The MLA’s wanted to resign from (AITC).They formed a new political party called All India Trinamool Congress, Manipur State which has a separate constitution and its political party was called as Manipur Pradesh Trinamool Congress (MPTC).
 
Disqualification of the three MLAs results, the total number of Trinamool Congress MLAs in the 60-member that has been reduced to three namely Th Shyamkumar Singh (Andro Assembly constituency), K Sarat Singh (Konthoujam Assembly Constituency) and Dr I Ibohalbi Singh (Oinam Assembly Constituency).
