Nagpur: A 17-year-old mentally challenged girl was allegedly raped by the security guard and cook in the hostel of a government-run school in Nagpur today.

Two accused Kisan Bawne, the security guard, and the cook Bharat Kambli have been identified. The incident came to light when the girl became pregnant, said police officials on Thursday.

The accused worked at the residential school meant for disabled children in Nagpur allegedly raped the victim about five months ago in the hostel, because of which she became pregnant.

“The accused took some of her offensive photographs and threatened to leak them public if she exposed the offence to anyone”, said police officials. The victim's father lodged a complaint with Rana Pratap Nagar police station last night after the matter came to light.

Offence has been registered under sections of IPC and also Protection of Children from Sexual Offences ACT (POCSO). No arrests have been made yet adding that further investigation was on in the case, police said.
