Smriti, Hema and Najma have no place in BJP national executives

3/12/2015 6:30:23 PM

New Delhi: The Bhartiya Janta Party has reconstituted its national executive team. The Executive is now a lean team of 111 members. However the party has omitted education minister Smriti Irani, Hema Malini and Najma Heptullah.

The national executive will also have 40 special invitees and 27 permanent members down from 96 in the earlier team. Leaders like Mr Prabhu and ministers Rao Inderjeet and Gen VK Singh, who joined the BJP recently, have been included in the national executive. The decision was taken by the party president Amit Shah.

The last national executive meeting was held in August 2014, to ratify the appointment of party president Amit Shah. Prime Minster Narendra Modi is expected to be in Bengaluru for three days in April to attend all the sessions of the big BJP meet.
