Kolkata: A woman was gangraped by three armed youths near Madhyamgram under Sashan police station area in North 24 Parganas around 45 kilometers away from Kolkata on late Thursday night by holding the gun at her child’s head. 

According to police sources, the crime took place when the victim, who is in her 20s, was sleeping with her three and half year old child at home and her husband was away on night duty.

The youths knocked at the door of her residence and asked for her husband.
On opening the door, one of the youths held the gun at her child's head and then they raped her in turns, according to an FIR lodged at Sasan police station on Friday morning. The woman somehow managed to reach her father’s residence at Boalghata and then lodged a complaint of gangrape. 

The police arrested the prime accused Sahabuddin alias Cash but two others are still absconding.

The victim alleged that the criminals must be known to her husband as they asked for him while knocking at the door. She also alleged that perhaps the trio knew that her husband was on duty.
