Cairo: Six men were hanged to death on Sunday after a military court sentenced them to death in last October. The six men were involved in attacking soldiers and police officers.
They were found guilty of murdering two officials in the Arab Sherkes zone, and also for attacking a bus carrying soldiers in the Al Amiriya area and a security post in Mostorod, all of which are located in Qaliubiya region north of Cairo.
The incident took place after ousted President Mohammed Morsi and several other leaders of the Muslim Brotherhood were sentenced to death on Saturday for prison break during the 2011 revolution.
Egyptian authorities are destroying camps of Islamist forces across the country.
