Village under Maoist threat, just 150 km away from Modi’s event

5/9/2015 6:15:04 PM

Raipur: Speculations are that Maoists have over taken the Marenga village in Chattisgarh. The village has around 500 residents.
The residents of the village have been prohibited from leaving the village.

However, the news is not confirmed yet whether this is a captive situation, since many residents of the village are busy constructing a small bridge in the area.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is also attending an event in Dantewada, some 150 km away from Marenga.

Marenga is 350 km away from Chhattisgarh capital Raipur.
