4/9/2015 7:38:36 PM

Milan: A man, named Claudio Giardiello shot dead a judge and lawyer and injured two other people before fleeing the scene in a Milan court on Thursday. The armed man was facing bankruptcy.

Giardiello after shooting escaped on a scooter but was captured by police in Vimercate, a town some 25 kilometres (15 miles) outside Milan.

A third person was found dead inside the building after apparently suffering a heart attack, possibly brought on by the shooting, emergency services said.

Valerio Maraniello, who earlier acted as Giardiello’s advocate told to the media that he is not completely surprised by Giardiello’s aggressive behavior since he is a little paranoid. He also said that, “Giardiello was always convinced people were trying to cheat him. He never listened to advice.”
